Welcome to SCUD 2018

2018 International Conference on Smart Cities and Urban Design (SCUD 2018) will be held at Wuhan, China on Apr. 21-22, 2018. This Conference covers issues both theoretical and practical areas on smart cities and urban design, dedicated to providing a premier interdisciplinary platform, which bring together the leading academic scientists, researchers, practitioners, educator and research scholars to present and discuss the recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions to support smart cities and urban informatics adopted in the fields of system, networking and communication.

SCUD 2018 invites all the participants from all over the world to attend the conference which includes prompt keynote presentations, oral talks, poster presentations and exhibitions. Oganizing committee of the conference expects and firmly believes that all the attendees around the world will be harvested academically; enjoy the academic exchange and wonderful things Wuhan will offer. Publication and Presentation

SCUD 2018 has teamed up with publishers MDPI and ITS. Honorable authors are cordially invited to contribute their research papers. All papers submitted to the conference will be subjected to the rigorous peer-review process. For accepted papers, some excellent selected papers will be published as a special issue in the journal Sustainability on MDPI, some other selected papers will be published in journal Urban Design or Data Research on ITS. The criterion of selection for papers is decided by both the conference committee and editorial board of journals. If papers are accepted by MDPI, authors need to pay MDPI for the publication fee, which is not included in the registration fee in conference SCUD 2018.

You're welcome to submit abstracts for presentation. But abstracts are only used for an oral presentation and will not be published in the conference journal.


Sustainability is an international, cross-disciplinary, scholarly and open access journal of environmental, cultural, economic, and social sustainability of human beings.
Sustainability is indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded, the Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science) and other databases, and has an Impact Factor of 1.789  (Journal Citations Reports, 2016), which can ensure the widest dissemination of your published work.

001.jpgUrban Design is an open access, academic and interdisciplinary journal published by ITS bimonthly. It aims to keep a record of scientific investigations of urban design and issues.
All the submissions go through a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality of the journal. The journal welcomes original scientific research papers that are theoretical or empirical, positive or normative.

Data Research is an open access, peer-reviewed, and scientific journal published by ITS bimonthly. The journal aims to provide scientists and scholars around the world with a platform to share, discuss and promote new issues and developments in multitude areas in data.

 All the articles submitted should be relevant to the main focus of the journal and go through a rigorous peer-review process before accepted.
